This workshop provides participants with an awareness and understanding of the relationship between dementia and depression. Participants will also how to identify the symptoms of depression for a person living and strategies to improve the individual’s overall wellbeing.
You will gain knowledge in:
- The clinical significance of depression and the importance of a correct and timely diagnosis
- An investigative approach to identify and manage depression
- Applying strategies for managing the associated behaviours linked to depression for improving quality of life for people with dementia
