This workshop provides participants with an awareness and understanding of the relationship between dementia and depression. Participants will also how to identify the symptoms of depression for a person living and strategies to improve the individual’s overall wellbeing.

You will gain knowledge in:
the clinical significance of depression and the importance of a correct and timely diagnosis
an investigative approach to identify and manage depression
Applying strategies for managing the associated behaviours linked to depression for improving quality of life for people with dementia
