What is dementia?
This 3-part online course is designed to provide you with an introduction to dementia, diagnosis, treatment and support strategies for both the person living with dementia and their carer.
Dementia Practice Improvement (DPI) series cover a range of dementia-related topics enabling aged and health care professionals to not only strengthen their dementia knowledge, but develop their own practice improvement plan. DPI series is suitable for all professionals working with people living with dementia.
All 4 online DPI courses are written in easy to understand language and take approximately one hour each to complete. Staff have the flexibility to complete the courses at their own pace, at any convenient time and location. Participants, in addition to increased confidence in caring for people living with dementia, are rewarded with the certificate of completion at the end of the series. Registered professionals also receive the Continuing Professional Development Points (CPD) points.
Upon request, managers can receive the monthly reports to monitor progress of their team. They can also utilise practice improvement plans developed by individuals as a part of professional development of their staff.
