Building Relationships

Empower your staff to build strong and trusting relationships with people living with dementia and their families. This workshop will provide staff with strategies and ways to seek and gather feedback to promote helpful and positive communication during every interaction, and ensure the consumer’s voice is heard and valued.

This workshop will explore the consumer journey and provide practical everyday strategies to assist staff with communication and interacting with residents and their families.

This course can be found under COVID-19 virtual classrooms or Foundation learning courses.

Delivery options

Face-to-face (three hours) or virtual classroom (two hours)

Virtual Classrooms

Most of our education courses are now available online. Our virtual classroom sessions are hosted on Zoom, with interactive elements such as polling and break-out rooms. Virtual classrooms provide an opportunity for inter-team learning, which benefits organisations with staff across different locations. This mode of learning is easy to implement and saves time and money by removing the need for travel. If you are new to this mode of learning, we can work with you to ensure you have what you need to make this a success.
