In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the Centre for Dementia Learning will be modifying the way we deliver our programs for the time being.
The wellbeing of our community, including people living with dementia, their families and carers, clients, volunteers, supporters and staff, is our priority. We have been following the situation closely and adhering to the advice from Government and Health authorities.
We are working to minimise person-to-person contact in order to reduce the potential spread of the virus, whilst ensuring we continue to support our clients. Our delivery of our face to face programs has been modified to ensure that we are consistent with the current Dept. of Health advice.
We are actively communicating and encouraging good practice of appropriate hygiene and preventative measures that each of us can take to help keep our community safe.
We understand this is a challenging time for us all, and for our community and we thank you for your understanding as we put these measures in place.
We take this opportunity to acknowledge your dedication and that of your teams at this time of heightened focus on the health and wellbeing of your residents, clients and staff.
The needs of people living with dementia, their families and carers continue to be at the heart of what we do and we remain committed to provide the services and supports we can during this difficult time even if, on a practical level, that may look at bit different in the coming weeks.
During this time, we will continue to work with providers to deliver our suite of programs in a way which best meets your needs and is in line with the current advice from Government and Health authorities.
